Workshop for Creating Embroidery Masterpieces by May Morris
Exploring the Art of May Morris Embroidery at the Ashmolean Museum

They will be introduced to Morris's approach to materials, color, and stitch using one of the designs from her new Ashmolean book May Morris Designs: The Very Soul and Essence of Beautiful Embroidery, published in August 2025.
The kit provided will enable participants to complete the design after learning the techniques and starting the embroidery in class. This practical workshop is designed to be accessible for all, with all materials for the workshop being provided, making it an ideal opportunity for both beginners and experienced embroiderers.
The workshop will take place in the Ashmolean Learning Studio, a space designed for creative workshops and learning experiences.
