Winter Entertainment 2024 in Vegesack: A diverse lineup featuring open-air movie screenings, Christmas-themed games, and various activities in the north of Bremen.
Get ready for the festive season as Vegesack Winter Fun makes its much-anticipated return to the heart of Bremen, Germany! From the 25th of November to the 23rd of December, the Vegesack district will once again transform into a magical winter wonderland.
The official opening of this year's event will take place on the 25th of November at 5 pm, accompanied by an ecumenical service and a captivating performance by a Ukrainian choir. The highlight of the opening ceremony will be the lighting of the Christmas lights, signalling the start of Vegesack Winter Fun 2021.
The event will feature a variety of activities for all ages. A nativity play will be performed for the first time at Vegesack Winter Fun on the 14th of December at 11 am and 2 pm. For those who enjoy crafting, there will be opportunities to make Christmas tree ornaments in the pedestrian zone during the last weekend of Advent.
A winter village will be set up in Vegesack's city centre, offering visitors the chance to enjoy mulled wine, punch, other hot and cold drinks, and treats like gingerbread. Santa Claus will be collecting wish lists at the former Schuhhaus Meineke on the 7th of December.
St. Nicholas and his helpers will hand out sweets in Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße on the 6th of December. For film enthusiasts, two popular Christmas films will be shown at the open-air cinema on provided seating, with drinks available on-site.
A central role in the pre-Christmas activities will be played by the "small market," which will host an after-work open-air cinema on the 28th of November and the 12th of December.
A large Christmas tree displaying peace messages in various languages, known as the "Peace Tree," will be located on the Botschafter-Duckwitz-Platz. The meeting point for singing under the Christmas tree on the 14th of December at 3 pm is also the Botschafter-Duckwitz-Platz.
