Upcoming Garage Sale Event Scheduled in Geist Neighborhood District on September 7th
The Geistviertel neighbourhood in Lünen is gearing up for its annual flea market, set to take place on September 7, 2025. This vibrant event, organized by the Community Work department in cooperation with the city of Lünen, promises a day of browsing, exchange, and discovery.
From 10 am to 4 pm, visitors can explore approximately 130 stalls, a number that exceeds last year's count. These stalls will be brimming with a variety of items for sale, including household goods, clothing, antiques, toys, books, and handmade crafts.
For those with an appetite, food and drinks will be available for purchase in front of Friedrichstraße 65 B. Grilled sausages and a selection of drinks will be on offer, while a new addition this year will be a waffle stand run by the DRK-Kita Geistervilla support association.
Tim Jesella from the Community Work department expressed delight over the strong involvement of Geistviertel residents. He noted that the flea market aims to bring people together, foster exchange, and offer a different perspective of the neighbourhood.
Toilet facilities will be available for free, and visitors can browse the market for free as well. For further questions, Tim Jesella can be contacted at tim.jesella@drk-unser website.
In addition to the flea market, the next livestock market event at Geistviertel in 2025 is organized by the city of Lünen in cooperation with the local farmers' association. This event promises to be another exciting addition to the neighbourhood's calendar.
So, mark your calendars for September 7, 2025, and join the Geistviertel community for a day of shopping, eating, and socialising.
