Freely, the free streaming platform backed by BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and 5, is set to launch on Netgem devices later this year. This move marks an important step for Freely as it expands its reach to more UK households.

The partnership between Freely and Netgem positions the streaming puck as the optimal choice for all households at an affordable price. Netgem has designed the device to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience, integrating the Freely interface at its core.

Freely will allow users to stream live and on-demand TV all in one place for free. The device will give easy access to stream live TV and on-demand free-to-air shows. In addition to this, the device will also provide access to popular global and local streaming applications.

Jonathan Thompson, CEO of Everyone TV, commented that expanding to 'plug-in and stream' devices is an important step for Freely. Netgem UK's Managing Director, Sylvain Thevenot, stated that the Freely streaming device is a game-changer for viewers.

Netgem has confirmed itself as Freely's first 'plug-and-stream' device partner. TV manufacturing partners for Freely include Hisense, Bush, Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic, Philips, JVC, TCL, Amazon Fire TV, and METZ. After Netgem, Freely expanded its streaming device partnerships in 2025, including a June partnership with Roku to integrate the Freely platform. Plans were announced in July 2025 to expand further into dedicated streaming devices beyond just smart TVs.

Further details about the devices, including availability, pricing, additional functionality, content, and more partners, are to be announced. Freely has also announced feature updates in 2025. The launch on streaming devices will make Freely accessible to more UK households, in line with Everyone TV's long-term strategy to ensure free-to-view content remains easily accessible in a streaming era.

Freely was created to make free TV accessible to everyone. The streaming device on Netgem aims to provide a streamlined TV and entertainment experience delivered over Wi-Fi. With this partnership, viewers can look forward to a more convenient and cost-effective way to enjoy their favourite shows and live TV. Stay tuned for more updates on the Freely streaming device on Netgem.
