Two Masters Exhibit Together: Schwarz & Jacobi at Museum Petersberg
Two prominent artists, Beate Schwarz and Ernst Ulrich Jacobi, are showcasing their works together in a special exhibition at Museum Petersberg. Titled 'Balance - Painting, Graphics, and Sculpture', the exhibition runs from June 11 to July 10, 2022.
Beate Schwarz, a Halle-based artist, has been exploring artistic and craftsmanship experiments in her studio and workshop, RAUM FÜR IDEEN, for nearly 30 years. She studied graphic design and art at Burg Giebichenstein. Schwarz presents a selection of her works from the past years in the exhibition.
Ernst Ulrich Jacobi, born in Dresden, began drawing in the 1960s and has been actively engaged in painting and graphics since the 1970s. His works have been exhibited in numerous shows since 1984. Jacobi's paintings reflect his life experiences, marked by reduction, concentration, doubt, and passion. He was accepted into the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR in 1989. The idea for the exhibition was conceived by Schwarz and Jacobi themselves as featured artists.
The exhibition at Museum Petersberg features a carefully curated selection of works by both artists, offering visitors a chance to appreciate their unique styles and the balance they strike between different mediums.
