Vista Alegre marked the culmination of its bicentennial celebrations on May 14, unveiling a commemorative book at the Palaço.

Two centuries of Vista Alegre's existence highlighted.

In Lisbon on May 14, 2025, the commemorative launch of a book celebrating Vista Alegre's 200-year history took place during the running exhibition "Towards Infinity – Vista Alegre, 200 Years of Creativity." This event, overseen by Mayor Carlos Moedas, marked the conclusion of the brand's bicentennial anniversary celebrations.

The richly designed book offers a visual and emotional journey through Vista Alegre's world. Available in two versions, a collector's edition limited to 200 hand-painted biscuit porcelain-covered copies, and a premium hardback edition, this book serves as an elegant coffee table book.

A notable section of the book focuses on Vista Alegre's history, co-authored by University of Aveiro researchers Nuno Rosmaninho and Manuel Ferreira Rodrigues. This extensive research explores the company's cultural and industrial significance both in Portugal and abroad.

The book also includes contributions from prominent figures, such as Poland's President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, European Council President António Costa, and established artists like Joana Vasconcelos, Álvaro Siza Vieira, Claudia Schiffer, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Vista Alegre as a key shareholder in June 2024.

Recognized for its exceptional contribution to Portuguese heritage and global influence, Vista Alegre was granted the title of Honorary Member of the Order of Infante D. Henrique. This tribute to creativity, chronicling Vista Alegre's history and legacy, is now available in Vista Alegre stores and online at vistaalegre.com.

Founded in 1824 in Ílhavo, Aveiro, Vista Alegre gained international recognition for its porcelain, crystal, and glass creations. Known as a symbol of Portuguese cultural and artistic heritage, Vista Alegre has collaborated with artists like Siza Vieira, Joana Vasconcelos, and Christian Lacroix. Its exceptional pieces are used by the Portuguese Presidency, the White House, several royal households, and embassies around the world.

Vista Alegre has been honored with top design awards such as the German Design Awards, IF Awards, and Good Design Chicago. In 2018, the company received the European Commission's "Regiostars" award, and in 2024, was recognized as an honorary member of the Order of Infante D. Henrique by the President of Portugal.
