The well-known seven valleys of Bad Dietfurt draw a considerable number of visitors.

In the heart of summer, Dietfurt's outdoor pool has become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. The pool, which opened on May 30th, has seen a surge in attendance, with over a thousand bathers visiting on some days in June.

Organised by the city, a series of events have been held to cater to all ages. A film screening for adults was held at the pool the next day, providing an evening of entertainment for the grown-ups. For the younger crowd, a movie night for children was held on June 5th.

The pool's popularity can be attributed to more than just its events. The water temperature, suitable for swimming and splashing around on its opening day, has continued to be comfortable throughout the season. This is thanks in part to a newly installed drinking water dehumidification system, ensuring the water remains clean and refreshing.

Safety is a top priority at Dietfurt's outdoor pool. The water rescue service, led by Jessica Mannes, trains 60 children aged between six and 15 every Monday. The training is divided into six groups, with the goal of achieving the Seepferdchen (seahorse) badge for younger children and the youth swimming badge for older ones. Mannes also assists lifeguards during hectic afternoons, ensuring the smooth running of operations.

The pool is well-equipped to keep children entertained. Large umbrellas provide shade for those playing in the water, while table tennis, chess, and volleyball are popular activities on land. A new feature this year allows children's birthday parties to be held at the pool, with tables set up at the kiosk area.

Despite the busy schedule, regular maintenance is being carried out at the pool, with no reported technical issues. Even during unfavorable weather in late July, the pool was temporarily closed but has since reopened with forecasted beautiful summer weather. Another late-night swim is planned for August 14th, also open until 10 pm.

However, it appears that there have been no documented unusual events or features at Dietfurt's outdoor pool for the 2022 season, according to available sources. For more detailed information on this specific topic, alternative sources or direct local reports may be necessary.

On weekdays, the pool parking lot is filled with cars from Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, and North Rhine-Westphalia, indicating the pool's wide appeal. Parents are responsible for bringing food and drinks for the parties, making each event a personal and memorable occasion.

With its combination of safety, entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere, Dietfurt's outdoor pool truly offers a splash of summer fun for all.
