The "We Wheel Survive II" Event Returns for a Second Edition

The Wagenplatz community of Berlin is gearing up for the second iteration of the "We Wheel Survive" networking event, taking place from May 29 to June 1, 2025. The event aims to finance projects and collectives in Berlin while promoting unity in the face of ongoing gentrification.

Event Highlights

The four-day event offers a blend of political discussions, musical performances, and artistic showcases. Key elements include a truck demo where participating wagons will parade through the streets, as well as live music, workshops, and various activities for all ages.

Tented Schedule

The event initiates with a truck demo on May 29, traveling from Friedrichshain to Kreuzberg. Participants can enjoy live music from various DJs and food vendors before the demo kicks off at 2 pm (Hauptstraße/ Ostkreuz, 1 pm).

Following this event, guests will be welcomed at the Wagenplatz Unter Strom in Karlshorst on May 30. A unique aspect of this day will be a tattoo roulette, in which participants can undergo a temporary tattoo design without prior knowledge. There will also be children's activities, live music, and food stalls available.

As the evening approaches, a surprise-filled group walk from Hegemeisterweg will conclude at the Wagenburg Wuhlheide, where the evicted Køpi-Wagenplatz and the Wagenburg Ruinas will host a danceable evening featuring karaoke, live bands, DJ sets, and a fire show.

On May 31, participants can experience tattooing, cabaret, speeches, concerts, and much more at the Fips Wagenplatz. The final night will find warmth at the Scheffelplatz in Friedrichshain, with art exhibitions, cinema screenings, a fire pit, and various activities.

The final days of We Wheel Survive II will respectively feature the Rummelplatz and Scheffelplatz in Friedrichshain, offering an unmotorized vehicle race and a cozy art-filled evening respectively.
