Over the course of two weeks, the festival featured a rich tapestry of religious ceremonies, cultural events, and recreational activities. The festivities began with the Misa Solemne in honor of San Roque and a special celebration for San Bartolomé Apóstol.

Daily mass celebrations were held in the local parish, with traditional Rosary prayers, Offerings of Pozol, and Holy Eucharist ceremonies. The festival also included the Peregrinación y Comunión de los enfermos (pilgrimage and communion for the sick) on the afternoon of August 23. Processions, such as the early morning "Paseo de San Bartolomé Apóstol" on August 24, involved participation from the San Roque and San Francisco communities.

Cultural and artistic events were a significant part of the festivities. Daily performances showcased traditional Zoque indigenous practices, including workshops and traditional dances like the dance of San Roque, San Jacinto, and San Bartolomé. The renowned state marimba orchestra, Marimba del Estado “Lluvia de Estrellas,” performed on the final day at noon.

The festival was a major community event, with residents actively participating in processions, dance, music, and food preparation. Activities like the elaboration of ramilletes (floral bouquets), image parades, coronations, and the symbolic breaking of the festivities represented communal devotion and joy.

Food played a significant role in the festivities, with Pozol, a traditional maize-based beverage, holding cultural and ritual significance. Each day featured culinary workshops teaching regional dishes such as tamales de hoja de milpa, cochito tuxtleco, and bolita con chipilín.
