The city centre of Chemnitz will be transformed into a spectacle of light and vision from September 24th to September 27th, as the "Light Our Vision" festival takes place. The organisers, a dedicated team with volunteer coordination contact provided by [email protected], have announced several changes to public transport and road closures during the event.

For those planning to attend the festival, it is important to note that Georgstraße will be closed between Straße der Nationen and Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, and Brückenstraße will be closed between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße, from 6 PM to midnight each day of the event. A detour route for traffic has been provided: Theaterstraße - Mühlenstraße - Müllerstraße - Straße der Nationen - August-Bebel-Straße - Dresdner Straße - Waisenstraße - Bahnhofstraße.

The stops for regional public transport will be moved to Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, while the stops for long-distance buses will be moved to Promenadenstraße or the Fernbusterminal. Further information about the bus terminal changes can be found on the RVE GmbH website. For changes in public transport, visitors are advised to visit the CVAG website at www.cvag.de.

Additionally, Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße will be closed during the event from 6 PM to midnight, and the bus terminal on Georgstraße will be fully closed from September 24th to September 28th. No parking is allowed in the designated areas for the event.

The event is supported by the city administration of Chemnitz as part of the Culture Capital Year 2025, and Alexander Günther from blndwrk has been named as the noise protection officer. Richard-Tauber-Straße will be closed, but the underground garage under the Theaterplatz remains accessible.

Further information about long-distance bus changes will be provided by the respective travel company. The organisers encourage visitors to plan their journeys in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during the "Light Our Vision" festival.
