Regulation of Vehicular Movement near Educational Institutions
Bremen, August 2025 — In an effort to promote safety in road traffic, a preventive traffic control will take place on August 19, 2025, from 7:15 to 8:15 AM. This control, which will focus on speed and safety systems, is part of a broader safety initiative and will occur at the Paul-Singer-Straße primary school in Vahr.
The Senator for Construction, Mobility, and Urban Development, along with other political representatives, police officers, and cooperation partners, will participate in the traffic controls. The police will conduct reinforced traffic controls near primary schools, including the one in Vahr, and will use a mobile speed display from ADAC.
In addition to monitoring speed, safety systems will be checked during the traffic controls. In case of detected violations, "yellow cards" with prevention tips will be distributed. The fourth-grade students will be involved in distributing the "yellow cards" and lemons as part of the traffic control.
Helpful advice on proper securing will also be given during the traffic controls. Around 6,250 new schoolchildren will be starting their education in Bremen on August 14, and these measures aim to ensure their safety.
It is important to note that while this article provides information on the traffic control in Vahr, specific details on other locations and dates may not be available at this time.
