ProAmpac Expands Eco-Friendly Packaging Lines, Wins Sustainability Awards
ProAmpac, a leading packaging company, has expanded its eco-friendly offerings. Its ProActive line now includes compostable and recyclable options, meeting industrial standards and winning awards for sustainability.
ProAmpac's ProActive Compostable packaging adheres to ASTM6400 standards for industrial composting. Meanwhile, the ProActive Recyclable Quadflex pouch offers optional clear side gussets for enhanced product visibility.
The company's commitment to sustainability has been recognised. Last year, ProAmpac won the AmeriStar Award for packaging made from plant-based bioplastic, used in Scotts MiracleGro Performance Organics growing media. This bioplastic, derived from sugarcane or corn, has a negative carbon footprint due to cultivation.
In the pet food industry, sustainability is a growing concern. ProAmpac recommends its ProActive Recyclable R-1000 for dry pet treats, available in rollstock or pre-made pouches. The company's ProActive Sustainability film is also qualified by How2Recycle for in-store drop-off and offers tactile enhancements.
