The city of Krefeld is gearing up for its annual Oktoberfest, promising an exciting event that caters to all age groups and districts. This year's celebration, taking place at Jahnplatz, will feature a host of new additions, including a VIP area, expanded event space, and a diverse music lineup.

For music enthusiasts, the festival will kick off with a performance by the BSW Krefeld brass band at 4 pm. The Albfetza band, a regular fixture on the tent stage since 2015, will follow with a repertoire that includes new songs, ensuring a mix of familiar and fresh music.

The VIP area, a new addition this year, will be set up in the tent and will offer a range of amenities. It will include seating on a slightly elevated platform, drinks, catering, a separate entrance, and a cloakroom. The VIP area could be used by companies from Schiefbahn as an event area for customers, but all other interested guests are also welcome to use it.

To prevent guests from helping themselves to drinks in their cars, the entrance wristbands will become invalid when leaving the area. The event area itself will be enlarged and fenced off, with an additional area for outdoor catering.

Traditional Bavarian dishes, including a Jausen plate, liver sausage, and pretzels, will be provided by the butcher's shop Rütten from Grevenbroich. An area with standing tables in front of the bar will also be available in the tent, upon shooters' request.

Erdinger brewery beer will be served at the festival tent, adding to the authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere. The first mayor, Michael Klein, is confident that there will be danceable music for every taste, ensuring a lively and enjoyable event for all attendees.

Tickets for the event have already gone on sale and some are still available for last-minute buyers. With its expanded offerings and diverse lineup, this year's Krefeld Oktoberfest promises to be an unforgettable celebration.
