Nordhorn's Vibrant Festival Celebrates Children's Rights on World Children's Day

Nordhorn Youth Center hosted a vibrant family festival on World Children's Day 2025, drawing around 400 attendees. Deputy Mayor Elke Liening inaugurated the event, themed 'Children's Rights: Building Blocks for Democracy', organized by the city's Youth Department and local partners.

The festival offered a diverse range of activities. Children enjoyed creative offers like balloon artistry and a bouncy castle, while interactive actions taught them about their rights worldwide. A low ropes course challenged young adventurers, while the DRK and Nordhorn Tafel provided engaging actions. Families gathered around a cozy fire to roast stick bread, and magic shows and dances by 'The Monity' entertained the crowd. A skill rally added to the fun-filled day.

The Youth Department, reachable at 05921 878-435 or 05921 878-332, and online at www.ourwebsite/jugendarbeit, provided further details about the festival and their other offerings.

World Children's Day, celebrated annually on September 20, aims to highlight the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Nordhorn's festival successfully raised awareness and provided a day of enjoyment for children, young people, and families alike.
