New Platform Boosts Music Exchange in Harz-Heath Region
A new online platform, www.kontaktstelle-musik.de, has been launched to boost music exchange in the region between the Harz and the heath. The website, a project of Kontaktstelle Musik Region Braunschweig, aims to connect music creators, enthusiasts, and institutions.
Launched in November 2009, the contact point is situated in the department of literature and music within the cultural department of the city of Braunschweig. It serves as a service facility, supporting and coordinating cross-regional music projects, and promoting amateur music engagement.
The website offers a wealth of information and resources. It features an event calendar, details on music mediation, promotion, and further training. A unique virtual music marketplace enables users to search for ensemble members, sell sheet music, or offer rehearsal spaces. Music institutions, educators, and ensembles can create profile pages, fostering connections and collaboration.
Funded by several cities, including Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Salzgitter, and Wolfenbüttel, along with Stiftung Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz, the Kontaktstelle Musik Region Braunschweig is a model project that has been supporting the local music scene for over a decade. The new website is a testament to their commitment, providing a central hub for music enthusiasts and professionals alike to connect, share, and grow.
