Museum Ulm en route to "Conquering the Castle" at Wilhelmsburg
The Museum from the Wheelbarrow, an interactive history education project, will make a special appearance at the Family Days during the "Storm the Castle!" cultural festival in Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg, from July to September 2025.
This unique mobile museum, known for bringing museum experiences outside traditional walls, will offer children the opportunity to creatively build whimsical museum structures or intricate towers using special pylons provided. Each event will take place between 2 PM and 5 PM on specific dates: 27th July, 3rd August, and 10th August.
During these events, children can express their wishes for the new Ulm Museum, following the motto "We make the museum as we like it." A toolbox with building cards featuring views, objects, and artworks from the Ulm Museum will be available on a tablecloth.
The Ulm Museum, a renowned cultural institution in Ulm, Germany, is currently closed and undergoing renovation. The Museum from the Wheelbarrow gives a peek into the exciting changes happening at the Ulm Museum.
The broom adorned with flyers is also provided, inviting festival-goers to explore the diverse playful possibilities of the Ulm Museum visible in the cityscape. Entry is not allowed on the construction site, but experimentation is explicitly encouraged.
The Museum from the Wheelbarrow's events at the Family Days are part of a larger cultural festival, "Storm the Castle!", which features a variety of community and participatory events. For more detailed and verified information about this project and its festival participation, we recommend consulting the official websites or announcements from the Ulm Museum and the "Storm the Castle!" festival organisers.
