Martha Stewart's solo retail outlets officially debut, initiating in Dubai
Martha Stewart Expands Retail Presence in Dubai and Beyond
Martha Stewart's retail stores have made their debut in the Middle East, with the first-ever standalone store opening in Dubai in 2023. This expansion is part of an ongoing effort by Martha Stewart and her partners, driven by Marquee Brands and retail conglomerate Apparel Group.
Three stores in Dubai are currently operational, offering an immersive lifestyle shopping experience. Products range from kitchenware and dining essentials to bedding, bath, fragrance, and home décor. The flagship stores, located at City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Hills Mall, and Mall of the Emirates, have been designed to reflect Martha Stewart's signature style and attention to detail.
Heath Golden, CEO of Marquee Brands, described these stores as destinations for discovery, inspiration, and exceptional design. In a recent statement, he expressed his excitement about the expansion, saying, "We are thrilled to bring Martha Stewart's brand of excellence to the Middle East and look forward to continuing our growth in this region."
The success of these stores in Dubai has paved the way for further expansion. Stores are planned to open in India, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia in 2026. Apparel Group, which holds the retail license for the GCC region, is the key partner driving this rollout in collaboration with Marquee Brands.
Marquee Brands, based in the United States, manages a portfolio of recognised retailers, including BCBGMaxAzria, A Pea in the Pod, Ben Sherman, and Laura Ashley, which it acquired at the start of this year. Notably, a joint venture by Marquee Brands and CSC Generation bought Sur La Table out of bankruptcy in 2020 for around $89 million.
Another Martha Stewart store is planned for Dubai later this summer, adding to the growing retail presence of the brand in the region. With these expansions, Martha Stewart's retail stores are poised to bring their unique blend of style, quality, and inspiration to a wider international audience.
