Kotn Expands Presence with Cultural Hub in London's Shoreditch

Egyptian-Canadian brand Kotn is venturing into Europe with its first international store, nestled in London's buzzing Shoreditch district. Known for its sustainable, community-focused approach, Kotn promises to transform its retail space into a cultural hub, fostering dialogue and connections.

To celebrate the store's grand opening on May 30 and 31st, Kotn has planned a series of events that showcase the brand's cultural roots while building a sense of community. The events will feature a curated group of London creatives and tastemakers, immersed in a warm, Cairo-inspired space, and a block party open to all, with an emphasis on food, drinks, music, and collaborations with influencers and entities close to the brand.

This hosting approach is emblematic of Kotn's ethos, as the brand aims to offer more than merchandise. Rami Helali, Kotn's co-founder and CEO, shares that the brand is passionate about creating enjoyable, authentic, and genuine experiences that foster a shared vision and build lasting connections among like-minded individuals.

Last year, Indian-Canadian poet Rupi Kaur hosted an open-mic at Kotn's Lower East Side location to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of her poetry book "Milk and Honey."

On the horizon, Kotn is introducing its first hospitality concept: Beit Kotn (House of Kotn). Located in the same building as the store, the hotel will feature a few rooms, offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in Kotn's collections in a different context. However, Helali emphasizes that venturing into hospitality goes beyond showcasing products—it's about immersing guests in their community, connecting them with local businesses, creative leaders, restaurants, and the rhythm of the neighborhood.
