The City of Wiesbaden is set to host an exclusive event titled "Frame by Frame // A Look Behind the Scenes, Short Films by Oscar-winning Brothers Lauenstein" on November 6, 2020, at Schloss Biebrich, Rheingaustraße 140, East Wing.

This unique occasion will see Christoph Lauenstein, one half of the renowned twin duo, providing an intriguing behind-the-scenes look at their artistic short films. Christoph will share insights into the creation of their groundbreaking work, offering a rare opportunity for audiences to delve into the world of these celebrated filmmakers.

The twins, Christoph and Wolfgang Lauenstein, have been creating animated films for an impressive 35 years. Their first short animated film, "Balance," won an Oscar in 1990 and has since become a classic. Remarkably, "Balance" played continuously for 25 years at the House of History, and was once seen as a perfect symbol of German reunification.

The event is being opened by Wiesbaden's Culture Commissioner, Dr. Hendrik Schmehl, on behalf of the city. The festival is organized by the Friends of Films at the Castle in cooperation with the Wiesbaden City Culture Department, with support from HessenFilm and Medien GmbH, the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, and the German Film and Media Evaluation.

Omnimago GmbH is also a part of the festival organization. The Press Office of the City of Wiesbaden, located at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden, is the publisher of this press release. Citizens can contact the responsible department or office with any questions regarding the event.

It is worth noting that the search results do not provide information on the two long CGI films created by Christoph Lauenstein and his twin brother as writers and directors. The twins were also awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for their significant contributions to the field of animation.

"Balance" remains celebrated as a classic and a symbol of German history. Don't miss this chance to witness the artistic brilliance of the Lauenstein brothers and gain a unique perspective into their creative process.
