In a significant move, Raffaele Boscaini has been appointed as the new president of the Campiello Prize, an esteemed Italian literary award that holds immense prestige and is considered a cultural heritage of the country.

As he steps into his role, Boscaini approaches the Campiello Prize with a sense of emotion and responsibility. With a rich history spanning over sixty years of Italian culture, the prize is a valuable institution that Boscaini views as a platform for growth and change.

Boscaini intends to bring authors and their stories out of traditional contexts, creating moments of confrontation and growth. He believes that the Campiello Prize does not need revolutions but guidance into the future, focusing on enhancing initiatives for young writers and readers, such as Campiello Giovani and Campiello Junior.

The Campiello Foundation's projects aim to create opportunities for authors and readers beyond traditional contexts, aligning with Boscaini's vision. He plans to launch collaborative projects between businesses and cultural institutions, organise joint events that promote cultural innovation in the corporate sector, and develop educational programs to foster dialogue between economic and cultural stakeholders.

Boscaini's presidency of the Campiello Prize is his first edition, and he is also the president of Confindustria Veneto. His family has been producing wines from the Veneto region for seven generations, adding a rich cultural background to his leadership.

The Campiello Prize aspires to become an active cultural engine throughout the year, with initiatives and meetings spread across territories. By prioritising the strengthening of dialogue between the business and cultural worlds, Boscaini aims to ensure the Campiello Prize remains a vibrant and relevant part of Italy's cultural landscape for years to come.
