Instead of "Pojdeev Center" on Predmoshnoi in Krasnoyarsk, there will be "Ploshchad Pervykh"
Rewritten Article:
Over there on Predmoshnaya Square in Krasnoyarsk, the grand plans of yesteryears have been tossed aside, making way for a fresh start. In their place, a vibrant hub called "Square of the First" is due to rise.
Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Mikhail Kotyukov, spilled the beans about these developments during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, head of the all-Russia youth movement "Movement of the First."
"We've teamed up with the young guns to decide it's high time we crafted a cutting-edge infrastructure where we could roll out educational initiatives, share experiences, and brainstorm new solutions," he said. "So, in the heart of Krasnoyarsk, nestled on the banks of the Enisey, we've found a perfect spot to cultivate a dynamic space for the youth." Kotyukov added, using the temporary moniker "Square of the First."
According to the governor, the project's groundwork is already underway, with a complex of buildings envisioned to host a tech innovation center, a "multi-purpose platform for the realization of youth talents," and "a communal space with a patriotic slant."
Kotyukov also highlighted that the complex will serve as a headquarters for "Movement of the First" in the heart of Russia.
Putin endorsed the idea and expressed hope that Krasnoyarsk's center will set a trend for Siberia and the nation.
Currently, the movement boasts around 205,000 young members in the region, with schools actively recruiting students to join "Movement of the First."
Construction is set to commence ahead of Krasnoyarsk's centennial in 2028.
In the past, Predmoshnaya Square had hosted ambitious plans for a modern exhibition center called the "Posdeev Center" with an unconventional architecture and a futuristic dance school. An international design competition was launched, but construction plans were eventually scrapped, leading to court battles.
As things stand, it appears that Predmoshnaya Square in Krasnoyarsk is all set to see rapid construction of a brand-new landmark in the near future.
