On August 23rd, the creative garden "Nadelholzwerk" will host a picnic event at 40 Schultetusstraße, Stavenhagen. This day is all about finishing handiwork, learning new techniques, exchanging experiences, or simply being creative.

Tanja Blaufuß, a 35-year-old creative woman, will demonstrate bookbinding techniques in a workshop at the event. If you have disassembled photo albums or need to bind notebooks, this is your chance to learn from a professional.

Jutta Meier, a 58-year-old creative woman, and her husband Jens Falkenberg (60), moved from Berlin to Stavenhagen three years ago. They found a 100-year-old house in Schultetusstraße, previously owned by the sugar factory and a rental house until 2006, on the internet. In their new home, they set up separate workshops: Jens has a wood workshop, while Jutta has a sewing room.

Jutta discovered knitting and sewing as a hobby, while her husband Jens discovered woodworking during the corona period. It was Jutta's idea to organise a creative gathering, inspired by the "Stricknick" event in Krefeld's park. Tanja Blaufuß was immediately interested and together, they founded the creative garden "Nadelholzwerk".

Hagen Effenberger will also be at the event, introducing the art of string art with wood.

Parking is available at the Ivenacker Tor or the train station for the creative garden picnic. Limited parking is also available in a side street near the creative garden. The event will run from 10 am to 7 pm, and everyone is welcome to attend, bringing a blanket and picnic basket.

For more specific details about the event, we recommend checking local Stavenhagen community pages, event calendars, or craft groups' announcements closer to the event date.
