Ice skating spectacle, Holiday on Ice, performs "Horizons" in Düsseldorf
The much-anticipated ice skating production, Horizons, by Holiday on Ice, is now running in Düsseldorf until Sunday, 27th April. This visually stunning show promises to immerse audiences in the various dimensions of the city, inviting them to "Feel the City Beat" as its motto suggests.
Horizons is themed around an urban, magical world, featuring a dynamic and freely movable stage set that changes into new scenes. The show's creative team, led by director Kim Gavin, has worked tirelessly to bring this breathtaking production to life.
The show is a fusion of light and sound, telling a story that makes the city's pulse palpable. Spectacular performances, figure skating, and breathtaking acrobatics are all part of the experience. The show also boasts a live musical performance by Sarah Engels on Friday, 25th April.
Engels, a renowned artist, has previously performed on the ice with the shows Supernova and Showtime. She will be singing popular numbers like "Für immer" and "Te amo mi amor" during the show.
The show also features different characters who tell their stories through music and movement. Spectacular costumes add to the overall aesthetic, making Horizons a truly immersive and visually engaging experience.
Horizons has already been enthusiastically celebrated in 21 German cities. Showtimes for the Düsseldorf performances are on Saturday, 26th April, at 13:00, 16:30, and 20:00, and Sunday, 27th April, at 13:00 and 16:30. Tickets, priced from 38.40 euros (including various fees; plus venue and public transport fees), can be self-printed.
