Gong Performance
On May 11th at 6 PM, Schönwalde's church will host a unique and captivating event - the "Urschall & Klangstrom" Gong concert. Presented by sound artist Peter Heeren, this concert aims to create a deeply meditative sonic experience that connects participants with the vibrations and resonance of the Gong.
Peter Heeren, known for his work with Gongs, has been exploring their effects in various spaces and contexts for many years. He describes the Gong as a gate to something original that resonates in each of us. The main instrument for this concert is a 1.90 meter tall Gong, which is not struck but spoken to with patience, attention, and a fine sense for resonance.
The Gong's sound is not just audible but also physically palpable, creating a multi-layered, living stream that moves through space and body. Heeren's concerts are characterized by a high level of presence and concentration, inviting attendees to listen, to embark on an inner travel, and to dwell in the depth of the moment.
The "Urschall & Klangstrom" concert is open to everyone, regardless of musical background. Admission is free, and donations are welcome. This event offers a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in the primordial sounds and the expressive depth of the Gong, making it a must-attend for those seeking a unique and transformative audio-visual experience.
