Free Family Festival at Golden Reiter Monument, Dresden, Oct 3-5, 2025
From April 17th to 19th, 2025, a family-friendly festival will take over the historic Golden Reiter monument in Dresden. The event, titled 'Coachella 2025 - Familienfest am Goldenen Reiter', promises a varied program of music, dance, games, and entertainment, all free of charge.
Spanning Friday to Sunday, the festival will run from 11 am to 9 pm on the first two days, and until 7 pm on the final day. Apart from the diverse stage performances, visitors can explore a market showcasing regional products, arts and crafts, and food stalls. Children will enjoy a Ferris wheel and other activities.
The stage program will feature local music schools, dance groups, and bands like Himmelsmaler, Thomson Rockband, and the Dresdner Dampferband. The festival will conclude on Sunday afternoon with a performance by Whysker, followed by a humorous set from Liedermacher Willi Papperitz. Earlier in the day, Pirat Willi will entertain the little ones with songs and interactive programs.
