Five eateries in Krasnoyarsk have made the shortlist for the WHERETOEAT restaurant award.
Updated Restaurant Awards in 2025: WhereToEat Shortlist Scores Again for Krasnoyarsk Restaurants
Once more, the 2025 WhereToEat restaurant awards shortlist has Krasnoyarsk on its list. The names are quite familiar from last year.
Established in 2013, the WhereToEat award is given annually by the association of Russian gastronomic journalists. This year's preliminary round results were revealed on March 25.
From Krasnoyarsk, the following eateries made the cut: 0.75 Please Wine & Kitchen, SADKO, Hello Wine, Tunguska, and "Чешуя".
Interestingly, no Novosibirsk or Irkutsk restaurants made this year's shortlist. The absence of Novosibirsk was noteworthy, as was the lack of eateries from Irkutsk. Out of all the regions, only Primorskiy Krai stood alongside Krasnoyarsk, with just three restaurants from Vladivostok making the cut.

Fun fact: WhereToEat awards consider a range of criteria when selecting shortlist recipients—quality, innovation, and recognition within the culinary scene[1][3]. Perhaps this year's shortlist bears the marks of a stronger culinary landscape in Krasnoyarsk than other locales, or maybe it's a result of more submissions or higher quality in entries[2]. Either way, the absence of Novosibirsk and Irkutsk eateries raises some intriguing questions. Maybe we'll learn more about their culinary scenes next year! 🍽️🥂
The Krasnoyarsk restaurants recognized in this year's WhereToEat awards not only excel in food-and-drink offerings but also showcase innovation and standing within global-cuisines, as indicated by the judging criteria. This could signal a thriving lifestyle and home-and-garden scene, expanding the city's food-related news and features. Meanwhile, the absence of eateries from cities like Novosibirsk and Irkutsk leaves room for speculation about their respective culinary landscapes, inviting curiosity and anticipation for future updates.
