On the 20th of September, at 3 PM, the Cultural and Urban History Museum in Duisburg will host a special picture book cinema event. The event, which is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition 'Overseeing. On (post)colonial traces in Duisburg' at the Center for Remembrance Culture, will feature Lale Öztürk, a renowned storyteller, reading from the children's book 'The Sneetches and the Blibber-Blobber-Blops' by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Lale Öztürk, who was awarded the German Reading Prize by the 'Stiftung Lesen' last February, volunteers in Duisburg to bring the joy of reading to children. She is known for her captivating storytelling and her ability to engage young audiences.
'The Sneetches and the Blibber-Blobber-Blops' is a delightful story about diversity, similarities, and coexistence. The book, co-written by Julia Donaldson, explores the themes of acceptance and understanding in a playful and engaging manner, making it perfect for children aged 3 to 9.
This event is free to attend and registration is recommended. You can register via email at zfestadt-unser websitede or by phone at 0203 283-2640.
Join us at the Cultural and Urban History Museum in Duisburg for an afternoon of storytelling, learning, and fun. Let's celebrate the joy of reading and the power of stories to bring us together.
