Artemest's L'Appartamento Showcases Elegant Italian Craftsmanship
In the heart of Milan, during the Milan Design Week, Artemest presents its third edition of L'Appartamento. This showcase, located in a 19th-century apartment within Palazzo Donizetti, is a celebration of Italian design and craftsmanship.
The entertainment room, designed by 1508 London, is a nod to 19th-century salons, offering a space for creative liberty and discussions of art. The room's centrepiece is the L'Armando table, a contemporary piece featuring muted tones that allow the place setting and classic Murano chandeliers to shine. The table, designed with two wide legs and soft, rounded corners, is a testament to the sophisticated, handcrafted Italian design that Artemest is known for.
The dining room, also part of the showcase, showcases the two-piece travertine table, referred to as L'Armando. The table's split in the middle, considered original by interior designer Brigette Romanek, adds an intriguing touch to the room's elegant ambiance.
In the foyer, a floral installation designed by Australian interior stylist Simone Haag adds a vibrant touch, while another botanical installation brings more vibrancy to a space within L'Appartamento.
The entertainment room also boasts the Portici Travertine Marble Bookcase by Sissy Daniele, elegantly displaying a variety of artisanal pieces available on the Artemest website. The Cleopatra artwork, made from over 4,000 tile pieces, is located in the entertainment room and is expected to stir dialogue.
In the bedroom, hand-painted citrus-tree 'Nature Whisper' by Fabscarte adorns the walls, adding a touch of nature to the upscale interior.
As visitors exit L'Appartamento, they are greeted by a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 overflowing with vibrant pink blossoms, a fitting finale to this showcase of Italian craftsmanship and creativity.
L'Appartamento by Artemest is open until 13 April 2025 at Palazzo Donizetti, Milan, Italy. For those unable to visit in person, the showcase can be explored online at artemest.com. L'Appartamento successfully celebrates the dynamism and creativity that Italian craftsmanship can inspire.
The entertainment room, designed with a touch of 19th-century salon elegance, showcases Italian lifestyle and interior-design through the handcrafted L'Armando table. The dining room, adorned by the split L'Armando travertine table, exemplifies home-and-garden design by Artemest.
