The picturesque Panorama Trail "Dollnstein - Eichstätt" in the Hessental valley is an unmissable experience for hikers, offering a dream tour over the roofs of the bishop's city, Eichstätt. This trail, which spans a length of 14.5 kilometers, requires approximately four hours of walking time, including breaks.
The journey commences on Saturday, 27th September, at the Dollnstein train station at 10:05 AM. For those joining on Sunday, 28th September, the meeting point is the Hessental parking lot (Landershofen), and city transport is available. The trail concludes at Eichstätt train station.
On both days, the trail leads hikers to Inching's castle and Pfünz's castle, providing breathtaking views and a glimpse into the region's rich history.
For those unable to attend on the 27th or 28th, fear not! The "Herbstzauber im Altmühltal" event series has organised additional hikes on Sunday, 30th September, and Friday, 3rd October. The series, conducted by qualified nature park and guest guides, forms part of the Eichstätt hiking weeks celebrating "20 years Altmühltal-Panoramaweg".
