In the heart of London's Mayfair, Soho Mews House, an exclusive leisure and dining experience, has introduced a new level of audio excellence. The venue's audio solutions have been meticulously designed by Tateside, a London-based AV integrator, around 1 Sound's premium loudspeakers.
Piano Bar: A Symphony of Sound
The Piano Bar, a hub for both acoustic piano and DJ performances, showcases 1 Sound's C6 loudspeakers paired with WSUB45 subwoofers. To capture every note and beat with crystal-clear clarity, DPA microphones have been installed. For a touch of control, a Skaarhoj motorised fader bank manages microphone levels without the need for a mixing desk or on-site technician. To match the bar's aesthetics, 1 Sound monitors with a matching wood stain have been installed on the piano and DJ booth.
Main Dining Room: Sound Discretion Meets Quality
In the main dining room, 1 Sound's compact C4 coaxial loudspeakers work in harmony with MiniSUB5 subwoofers. To minimise visual impact, these subwoofers are discreetly installed under banquette seats.
Private Dining Room: Premium Sound, Small Footprint
The private dining room offers a premium audio experience thanks to MiniSUB5 subwoofers positioned above draped fabric ceilings. This setup ensures a high-quality sound with minimal intrusion.
Throughout the venue, the audio system has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the joinery, with custom finishes that match the wood stain of the space. The system also supports multiple modes, including DJ mode and live performance mode, with audio EQ and automatic time alignment shifting.
The audio system extends across the ground, first, and second floors of the Half Moon Bar, a live entertainment venue within Soho Mews House. The system's rear-cancellation on the Tower column in the Half Moon Bar ensures potential noise on stage is eliminated, providing a controlled dispersion pattern and superior Sound Performance Line (SPL) for live music.
The AV integration of the Half Moon Bar by Tateside is part of their continued support for all Soho House sites across London with their managed services team. The system's control is handled by a Q-SYS control backend, and DMX show lighting is tied in through Q-SYS. Control via an Apple iPad or simplified switching via Pragma wall panels on each floor adds a touch of modern convenience.
