Eichenzell Baking Community Celebrates with Federweisser Evening
The Eichenzell Baking Community, a beloved institution in the town, recently hosted a Federweisser evening. Many guests enjoyed a buffet featuring Franconian Federweisser and regional specialties like Zwiebelspätzle and Obatzda. This event is a cherished tradition that brings the community together and celebrates regional cuisine.
The Federweisser evening is more than just a party; it's a symbol of community, sociability, and the enjoyment of local delicacies. The Eichenzell Baking Community has been promoting these values for nearly four decades. Every Thursday at 5 pm, the community gathers at the bakery for weekly meetings, ensuring these traditions remain alive.
Last year, the community celebrated the 35th anniversary of German reunification with a special Federweisser evening. Looking ahead, in 2026, the community will mark its 40th anniversary with a festival program filled with culinary and social highlights. This year, on November 30, the community will also be baking and selling traditional Christmas stollen, with advance orders accepted from Gertrud Kram.
The Eichenzell Baking Community continues to strengthen the bonds of the local community through its events and weekly gatherings. Chairman Thomas Reinhold, along with his wife Michaela Reinhold and other helpers, ensures that these events remain family-friendly and affordable, making them a regular part of Eichenzell's village life.
