Durabook Unveils Robust ATEX Zone 2/22 Tablets for Chemical & Pharma
Durabook has unveiled two robust tablets, the R8-EX and U11I-EX, tailored for use in ATEX Zone 2/22 environments. These devices cater to the digitalization needs of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, which face skilled worker shortages and intense competition.
The tablets, designed to withstand extreme conditions, comply with MIL-STD-810H and are IP66 certified. They can endure extreme temperatures, drops, and are resistant to dust and water.
The R8-EX is lightweight and compact, ideal for confined spaces and long workdays. It offers a long battery life, with hot-swappable batteries ensuring uninterrupted work. The U11I-EX, on the other hand, provides a larger display, more computing power, and numerous connectivity options for heavy use.
Both devices feature Durabook's Coolfinity thermal solution, which uses passive cooling to reduce the risk of explosion in hazardous areas. They are also ATEX certified, ensuring no ignition sources or electrical discharges in explosive atmospheres. DynaVue® technology ensures optimal screen readability in various lighting conditions.
