Dubai Fitness Challenge Secures Major Boost for Dubai Run with GMG as Association Partner

Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) has secured a significant boost for its flagship event, Planet Fitness Dubai Run, with GMG stepping in as Association Partner until 2029. The collaboration, sealed with a five-year agreement, aims to encourage active lifestyles and foster fitness as a daily habit among communities.

The partnership was formalised by Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), and Mohammad A. Baker, Deputy Chairman and CEO of GMG. The agreement builds on DFC's mission, launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to inspire residents and visitors alike to embrace a healthier way of life.

Dubai Run 3, set for 23 November 2025, will transform Sheikh Zayed Road and Emaar Boulevard into a global running spectacle. With GMG's support, the event promises to be even more impactful, reaching a wider audience and leaving a lasting legacy.

Through this partnership, GMG and DFRE aim to make Dubai Run 2025 a resounding success, further cementing Dubai's position as a global hub for fitness and active living. The five-year commitment underscores both parties' dedication to promoting health and wellness in the community.
