Community Comes Together for Charitable Herb Bouquet Tying Events

Two local groups, St. Michael's Women's Group and KDFB (Catholic Women's Association) Aufhausen, are joining forces to organize herb bouquet tying events this week. These events are a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, learn traditional techniques, and create small bouquets of herbs and flowers.

The herb bouquets created during these events will be donated to St. Rita's Caritas House in Regensburg, a charitable institution that provides social and health services to those in need. This donation serves multiple purposes: it supports the Caritas House by offering gifts that can be used for decoration, comfort, or sale to raise funds; it fosters community spirit and solidarity; and it preserves cultural heritage linked to herb bouquet tying.

On tomorrow at 1 PM, the St. Michael's Women's Group will be hosting their event at St. Gunther kindergarten. Members of the community are encouraged to participate and bring herbs or flowers from their gardens to contribute to the bouquets. Helpers are also welcome to lend a hand.

Simultaneously, at 3 PM, KDFB Aufhausen will be hosting their herb bouquet tying event in their church garden. Similar to the St. Michael's Women's Group event, participants are asked to bring herb and flower donations. There will also be a sale of herb bouquets before the herb blessing at Kofering.

The blessed herb bouquets from both events will be given out for a donation. Those who are unable to attend the events but still wish to donate herbs or flowers may do so in the morning at either location.

The herb bouquets from the St. Michael's Women's Group event will be blessed on Friday at mass. The KDFB Aufhausen event will have a sale of herb bouquets before the herb blessing, which will take place before the bouquets are blessed on Friday.

By participating in these events, community members can contribute to a worthy cause while learning about and preserving traditional herb bouquet tying techniques. All donations from the St. Michael's Women's Group event will go to St. Rita's Caritas House in Regensburg.

Participants at the St. Michael's Women's Group event can also enhance their lifestyle by learning about fashion-and-beauty uses of the herbs and flowers they might contribute.

The home-and-garden section of the community will find these events particularly fitting, as they can gather new ideas for growing and arranging herbs and flowers in their own spaces.
