Gear up for a Creatively Charged Evening!
Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting your woodworking journey, join us for our weekly Craft Club! You may have attended one of our courses, wish to refine your skills, pursue an intriguing project, or simply enjoy an evening of whittling and camaraderie around the fire. Whatever the reason, we welcome you!
Those who have been before and are eager to dive into their projects can attend for a reduced rate of £10. For newcomers, we will provide a ch firms demonstration every session, showcasing how to create a simple item. This week, we'll be cutting and shaping unique wood pieces to craft tiny mushrooms!
From spoon-carving around the fire, building a spatula on a shavehorse, carved mushrooms, jewelry making, shrinkpots creation, cordage crafting, stool construction, and finishing an abandoned project – all these and more have been accomplished at our Craft Club in the past!
We'll be set up in the craft area, complete with work benches, shave horses, and blocks. Some tools will be available to borrow, and coppiced wood will be on hand. For larger amounts or planked wood, advance notice and payment will be required.
Craft Club is open to adults and young people aged 14 and above. Under 18s must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Tea and coffee will be provided during the session, so please bring your own mug and a packed tea or chopped veggies for the potluck stew. Contributions of cake and biscuits to share are welcome!
The club runs twice a month throughout the spring and summer months on the following dates:
