Create Your Own Charming Christmas Greeting Card Using Cricut
In the spirit of the holiday season, a new handmade Christmas card project has been introduced by Silvia, the craftswoman and fashion designer behind the brand MANUC from Germany. This Merry Christmas Card project is now available on Cricut Design Space, making it accessible for crafters worldwide.
The finished card size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches, fitting comfortably in an A2 envelope. To create these charming cards, you'll need a Cricut Cutting Machine, along with a few additional supplies: Merry Christmas Card Cricut Design Space Project, Debossing Tip with QuickSwap Housing, Scoring Wheel Tip, Light Green .4 Pen, Spatula Tool, Red Cardstock, White Cardstock, Christmas Patterned Paper, Double-Sided Adhesive, Adhesive Foam Dots, and Envelopes.
The process involves debossing, scoring, and cutting various pieces. After these steps, the card base should be folded along the score line. Begin by debossing the white debossed shape and centering it onto the front of the red card. Next, layer the banner flag pieces from widest to thinnest, aligning along the top edge and gluing into place.
Apply double-sided tape to the back of the debossed white shape and adhere it to the front of the card, centering it on the top portion of the white debossed shape. Then, apply two adhesive foam dots to the back of the 'Merry Christmas' piece and stack them on top of the banner pieces. Adhere the spikey piece behind the 'Merry Christmas' ticket shape, allowing the spikes to peek out from behind.
To complete the design, adhere the snowflake onto the top-right corner of the 'Merry Christmas' piece and the 'to you' banner behind the top banner. The project allows for creativity, as different color schemes or patterned paper can be used instead of those specified in the tutorial. Additionally, it is possible to create color variations of the Merry Christmas card design.
