Construction and Renovation Works on Milling and Canal Rehabilitation Cause Traffic Disruptions in Bad Kissingen
From Monday, September 22, a significant phase of comprehensive sewer renovation works will commence in the town of Bad Kissingen. The focus of this project is the repair of the main collector, a vital part of the sewer system that was built between 1886 and 1889.
The repair work will be carried out at a depth of around eight metres, and a special vehicle will be used for milling work on the existing sewers, directly above the manhole covers. This modern, trenchless procedure, known as the pipe lining method, enables renovation via existing manholes without large-scale excavations.
Residents in the affected area, stretching from Kurhausstraße via the Dr.-Hans-Weiß-Sportpark to the municipal wastewater treatment plant, can expect unusual noises from the wastewater pipes during the milling work. However, no further restrictions for residents beyond these unusual noises, possible traffic disruptions, and the completion of the construction work are expected.
Temporary traffic disruptions may occur due to the milling work on the sewers. Despite the use of the pipe lining method, occasional traffic disruptions may be necessary. The affected property owners will be informed in good time about the house connection renovation, which will take place after the completion of the milling work. At this stage, the affected property owners will not be informed about house connection renovation.
The repair of the main collector does not involve house connection renovation at this stage. The construction work is expected to be completed by mid-December. Unfortunately, the name of the company responsible for the comprehensive sewer rehabilitation works in Bad Kissingen could not be ascertained from the search results.
Residents in adjacent households are also likely to be affected by the unusual noises from the wastewater pipes during the milling work. The affected area for the sewer renovation remains unchanged, and no further restrictions for residents beyond the unusual noises, possible traffic disruptions, and the completion of the construction work are expected.
