Community Celebration at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center: Horses, Activities, and Line Dancing in Orinda on August 9th
Join us on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, as we celebrate the annual Neighborhood Day at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center. Located at 60 Don Gabriel Way, Orinda, CA, this free event welcomes all ages and promises an afternoon of entertainment and education.
Xenophon, a 501(c)(3) PATH International Premier Center, was founded in 1993 and provides therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, and other equine-assisted services to over 50 children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities each week. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about their valuable work and even meet some of the therapy horses.
The day is packed with activities, including games, raffles, crafts, and line dancing lessons. You can also enjoy demonstrations of equine-assisted therapy sessions and meet the riders who benefit from these life-changing programmes. To add to the fun, food trucks will be on site, offering a variety of delicious treats.
The event is free to enter, and donations and raffle proceeds will support scholarships, horse care, and specialized equipment. Volunteers are also being recruited for the fall session, with no horse experience required.
