Champion selected for SGM talent contest
In a spectacular grand finale held in Cologne, the New Talents Award for innovative lighting designs took place for the first time this year. The jury's decision saw Vikar Porsson emerge as the winner, receiving a MacBook Air and a "Symphonie" licence with powerful visualization software from CAPTURE.

In a surprising turn of events, Johannes Beck and Daniela Röske tied for second place in the audience's choice, each receiving a hotel voucher worth 750 euros. Vikar Porsson, however, took the audience's choice for the first place.
The 16-year-old Porsson was visibly touched when accepting his award. "This is a dream come true," he said. "I've always loved creating and innovating, and to be recognised for it on such a big stage is truly amazing."
Daniela Röske, who placed third in the audience's choice, also expressed her gratitude. "It's an honour to be among the finalists and to have my work appreciated by both the jury and the audience," she said.
No third place was awarded in the jury's decision for the New Talents Award.
