On Wednesday evening, the second Pforzheim Honors Evening was held at Kulturhaus Osterfeld, where 27 individuals and five non-profit projects were honored for their exceptional civic engagement.

Mayor Peter Boch presided over the event, praising the volunteers for their crucial work and selfless efforts in improving the socio-cultural climate of the city. He emphasized that volunteers lay an indispensable foundation for the well-being of the city and that each individual can make a difference.

Among those honored were Karin Lechler, Edlinde Einemann, Ute Hof, Beate Dufke-Falkenstein, Timo Weik, Harald Borvitz, Rita Klee, Felix Dorn, Simon Stiegele, Björn Gregor Bischoff, Luis Moßner, and Ralf Fuhrmann. Ralf Fuhrmann was honored posthumously for his diverse volunteer engagement in various areas of life, including social, political, and health initiatives.

In the project category, Maislabyrinth Eutingen, Förder- und Freundeskreis der Karl-Friedrich-Schule Eutingen e.V., GoldenHearts UG, and Unser Lädle Hohenwart e.V., Vereinbegleiter Pforzheim were recognized for their outstanding contributions.

The musical accompaniment for the event was provided by "Kultur im Osterfeld e.V." (KiO) and "Theater am Osterfeld." Excerpts from "Merci Jury 2.0" and "Hexen" were performed during the evening.

Entertainer Peter Jagusch hosted the event and ended the evening with his one-man variety show.

It is worth noting that the jury consisted of city administration members and the city's volunteer participation advisory board, who selected the nominees for the award. However, specific information about the categories and recipients of the awards was not provided in the available sources.

Ralf Fuhrmann's work with Pforzheim AIDS Help was also remembered during the event.

This year's Pforzheim Honors Evening served as a testament to the power of civic engagement and the significant impact that individuals and organizations can have in their communities.

Karin Lechler, Edlinde Einemann, Ute Hof, Beate Dufke-Falkenstein, Timo Weik, Harald Borvitz, Rita Klee, Felix Dorn, Simon Stiegele, Björn Gregor Bischoff, Luis Moßner, and Ralf Fuhrmann, despite their diverse areas of volunteer engagement, notably in social, political, and health initiatives, have contributed significantly to the city's socio-cultural climate, thereby enhancing the home-and-garden of Pforzheim's lifestyle. The honorary recognition bestowed upon Ralf Fuhrmann posthumously underscores the enduring impact his lifestyle choices had on the city's communal fabric.
