Caraway Kitchen set to debut in every Container Store branch nationwide.
Caraway Expands Presence with New Retail Partnerships
In a significant move, direct-to-consumer kitchenware brand Caraway has expanded its wholesale presence, partnering with well-known retail stores such as Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, Costco, and most recently, The Container Store.
The partnership with The Container Store, first launched in October 2022, marks a notable evolution for Caraway. The brand, which initially focused on online sales, is now making its products accessible in physical stores and larger retail platforms. Caraway cookware sets are now available at all of The Container Store's 101 U.S. locations.
At Crate & Barrel, customers can find Caraway's 12-piece cream ceramic non-stick cookware set, along with design assistance and various color options. Anthropologie features Caraway's iconic cookware sets, including fry pans, saucepans, sauté pans, and lids. Costco offers an 11-piece ceramic non-stick cookware and bakeware bundle, emphasizing non-toxic and ceramic-coated kitchenware.
Caraway's product line has maintained a focus on non-toxic ceramic cookware in diverse colors and multiple set configurations. This focus on quality and design has helped the brand reach wider consumer segments through these retail partners.
Jordan Nathan, founder and CEO of Caraway, expressed his excitement about the partnership with The Container Store, stating, "We are thrilled to team up with The Container Store to introduce our entire collection of modern kitchenware products to new customers across the country."
The expansion into retail includes partnerships with Target, Nordstrom, Macy's, and Williams Sonoma. Over the past four years, Caraway has expanded into a full suite of kitchen-oriented products, including bakeware, linens, a tea kettle, steamers, food storage, and prep and cutting board sets.
Caraway first launched in 2019 and is known for its non-toxic ceramic, nonstick cookware. In October 2022, the brand secured $35 million in a funding round led by McCarthy Capital. Caraway anticipates a 50/50 revenue split between DTC and wholesale over the next five to 10 years, reflecting its strategy to increase brand visibility and availability beyond its original DTC model.
The partnership with The Container Store has been expanded to include a la carte options and sets in the cookware, bakeware, and food storage categories. Caraway is the first cookware brand to be sold at The Container Store nationwide, signifying a shift towards hybrid sales channels combining online and brick-and-mortar retail.
As Caraway continues to grow, it's clear that the brand is committed to making high-quality, modern kitchenware accessible to consumers through a variety of channels.
