Wacky Pooch Showdown: Finding Idefix's Doppelganger at Berlin's Museum of Banter
Berlin Museum Hosts Idefix Doppelgänger Contest - Berlin Museum's Imitation-of-Idefix Contest
Here's the scoop: A chuckle-worthy event went down at the Museum of Chat in Berlin recently! A peculiar challenge was set, an ode to Asterix's best buddy Idefix: who among our canine pals most closely resembles the legendary comic dog? The contest was organized in honor of the 60th birthday of Idefix, synonymous with Asterix and Obelix adventures by ace French cartoonist Albert Uderzo.
The stage was set for a smackdown of five furry furballs against Idefix's comic template. Initially, up to 25 pooches could've participated, but only the lucky five made the cut. A jury, in all their wisdom (or lack thereof), picked the four-legged critter they believed bore the closest resemblance to comic Idefix. Prizes included fab freebies like museum tickets and sweet Asterix and Obelix merchandise.
The extravaganza doesn't end there! "Uderzo - From Asterix to Magic Elixir," an exhilarating exhibition, is on display until June 15th. It's a deep dive into the life of Uderzo and the comic genius behind the artist, who bid adieu at the ripe age of 92 in 2020. Don't miss out on the plethora of original pages, sketches, and goodies from Uderzo's private studio!

The Commission has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment, considering the carbon paw-prints from the Furry Friends' Furry Fashion Show that just took place at Berlin's Museum of Chat. If we want to maintain a sustainable home-and-garden lifestyle, perhaps reading books on eco-friendly pet care or watching entertainment programs focusing on the same could be a great start. And who knows, one could even discover the next Idefix!
