Beachfront weekend lifeguard services provided by local authorities
Heads Up, Sun 'n' Surf Lovers! 🌞🌊
So, here's what you need to know! The friendly peeps at the Sintra City Council and the Sintra Municipality Beach Association are beefing up safety measures for the upcoming season. With people flocking to the city's stunning beaches under inviting weather, there's a rising need to avoid any unwelcome scenarios, especially when the sea doesn't always play nice.
Starting in May, pre-season surveillance will be happening on weekends (3rd and 4th, 10th and 11th, 17th and 18th, 24th and 25th, and 31st May). Post-summer, the guardians of sand and surf will keep an eye on things from September 20 to October 12 (September 20 and 21, 27 and 28, as well as October 4 and 5, and 11 and 12).
This collaboration covers five of Sintra's best beaches – Praia Grande, Adraga, Maçãs, Magoito, and S. Julião. So, you can count on two to three lifeguards keeping you safe during pre- and post-bathing season periods. They got this covered, so you can just chill and soak up the rays! ☀️
Now, let's talk safety—Portuguese beaches, like those in Sintra, usually have some kick-ass precautions in place to keep you safe and sound. You'll often find beaches flying the Blue Flag, which means they tick all boxes for water quality, safety, accessibility, and info for beachgoers.
Enjoying the outdoors and home-and-garden lifestyle goes hand in hand with Sintra's stunning beaches. Whether you're sunbathing, surfing, or unwinding amidst the lush surroundings, you can expect to find well-maintained outdoor living spaces that contribute to your overall experience.
