Attending the MKK's Art Showcase at Kunstpalast

The Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf is currently hosting the much-anticipated exhibition "Hans-Peter Feldmann". This retrospective showcase offers a comprehensive look into the work of the renowned artist, who has lived and worked in the city since at least the summer of 2017.

Feldmann's work is known for challenging the unwritten rules of the art world, and his themes include curiosity, social clichés, the relationship between original and copy, consumption, and (pop) culture. His fascination for visual worlds is evident in his collection of various reproductions such as photographs, postcards, advertising brochures, and plaster casts.

The exhibition aims to question the social role of images and objects, and to bring art and everyday life closer together. Feldmann's approach to these themes is often playful, humorous, and direct, making the exhibition an engaging and thought-provoking experience for all visitors.

For those interested in attending, the cost is 20 euros for members and 22 euros for guests. The meeting point for the exhibition is at 11:45 am in the foyer of the Museum Kunstpalast. Registration can be made with Christa Ahrend-Wilke at 02159 50543 or [email protected].

After its run at the Kunstpalast, the exhibition will travel to Düsseldorf's Kunst Museum Winterthur. The retrospective at the Kunstpalast, which took place from September 2025 to January 2026, was a major milestone in Feldmann's career, and this exhibition promises to continue the celebration of his groundbreaking work.

The exhibition "Hans-Peter Feldmann" is curated by Felicity Korn, the head of the 20th and 21st century collection at the Kunstpalast. Korn's expertise and passion for Feldmann's work make this exhibition a must-see for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
