Alfresco dining at Oakwood's Chophaus elevates with the arrival of a renowned chef and a brand-new, all-weather terrace.

Chophaus, the popular restaurant known for its prime, locally sourced meats and award-winning design, is set to open a new heated terrace this April. The terrace, designed by Nanu Soda and Engineering & Materials Inc., can accommodate up to 80 guests and promises an unforgettable alfresco dining experience.

The terrace menu, designed by Chef Lee Murdoch, is a global culinary adventure, drawing inspiration from dishes across Asia, Europe, and beyond. Highlights from the Raw & Sushi section include Salmon Tartar Tacos, California Crab Rolls, Spicy Tuna Gunmaki, and Kumamoto Oysters. The Signature & Charcoal section offers mouth-watering dishes like Highland Wagyu Ribeye, Grilled Native Lobster, and Korean Chicken Sliders.

Adventurous dessert lovers will find unique options like Moji by Murdoch, a delightful combination of honeycomb, raspberry, and milk chocolate, Coconut Edible with mango sorbet and tropical salsa, and a Foie Gras Crumpet with manuka honey and pink pepper. The lighter bar plates section includes Truffle Puffs and Fior Fries.

Chophaus has built up a loyal cult following, despite the challenges of 2020. The strong launch of the restaurant and a successful takeaway Sunday roast service contributed to their success. This Easter weekend, Chophaus is hosting a pop-up BBQ to offer a taste of the terrace menu. The BBQ will serve up special dishes from 12pm.

The 2021 cocktail menu at Chophaus includes the Chophaus Punch, a refreshing blend of Wray & Nephew rum, plantation pineapple, apricot, lime, and creole bitters.

With its stunning design and ambitious menus, Chophaus's new heated terrace is set to be the place to be in north Leeds this summer. Whether you're a foodie or simply looking for a unique dining experience, Chophaus's alfresco terrace promises to deliver. The terrace and menu will be available from Monday 12 April.
