Achievement in Charity Collections for New Year

The Pforzheim Wildpark, a beloved attraction in the city and region, recently received a generous donation of €4,200 from Mayor Peter Boch during the city's New Year's reception in 2018.

This donation comes as a testament to the high regard in which the Wildpark and its associated work are held. The donation was met with sustained applause, reflecting the appreciation for the efforts of the Pforzheim Wildpark Association.

The Pforzheim Wildpark is home to around 350 animals from approximately 70 species, providing a unique and educational experience for visitors. The park is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and it continues to evolve according to modern concepts of species-appropriate and animal-friendly keeping, family and child friendliness.

The Pforzheim Wildpark Association, which has been in existence since 2006, is dedicated to the continuous renewal and development of the park. The funds raised at the New Year's reception will contribute to these ongoing efforts.

Mayor Peter Boch, in handing over the donation, praised the work done by the association and expressed his pleasure about the contribution. He noted that the Wildpark is a unique selling point of the city and region, and he is confident that the money is in good hands with the association.

Every year, all citizens are encouraged to donate to various institutions in Pforzheim within the framework of the city's New Year's reception. The original donor of the €4,200 donation was not publicly disclosed.

In addition to the donation, the large aviary at the Pforzheim Wildpark is currently undergoing renovation. This is part of the association's commitment to maintaining the highest standards for the animals' living conditions across all age groups among its visitors.

Without the dedication and hard work of the Pforzheim Wildpark Association, the city's Wildpark would not be in its usual form. The association's work is a valuable asset to the city and region, and the donation from Mayor Peter Boch is a welcome boost to their ongoing efforts.
