14th Rattey Kite Festival Draws 1300 Enthusiasts
The 14th Amendment Rattey Kite Festival near Fuchsberg attracted around 1300 visitors, including enthusiasts and helpers. Giant kites required anchors for professional flyers, creating a thrilling spectacle.
Thomas Schmid from Leipzig, a regular since 1995, brought around 60 kites. Alfred Schlefske, a 13-year-old from Rostock, was among the younger participants, inspired by his family's love for kite flying.
Wolfgang and Monika Radecke from Pasewalk, attending since 2019, displayed their 42 handmade kites. They, like many professionals, stayed overnight in their motorhome. The event was organized by the local kite flying club and Fuchsberg community volunteers.
The 14th Amendment Rattey Kite Festival, with its impressive giant kites and dedicated participants, was a success. It united enthusiasts from across the region, celebrating their shared passion for cultural festivals.
